How to check whether a phone supports eSIM

YONI's supported-device page helps teams check common iOS and Android models before installing an eSIM. Compatibility can still depend on the sales region, carrier lock status, operating system version, and exact model variant, so teams should verify both the device settings and the official device specification.

Confirm the exact model

Check the full model name and model number in device settings. Do not rely only on the brand or product series, because regional variants of the same series may handle eSIM differently.

Check the eSIM setup entry

On iPhone, eSIM is usually added from Cellular settings. On Android, it is usually under SIM, mobile network, or connection settings. If the option is missing, verify the OS version and regional variant.

Rule out deployment limits

Corporate devices, carrier-locked phones, certain regional models, and outdated operating systems may restrict eSIM installation. For travel or bulk rollout, test one real device before deployment.
